Rocking hammers to beat down cancer ...
Tonight, Phil Gordon and some of the other folks associated with the Put A Bad Beat On Cancer drive hosted a small buy-in tourney to benefit the charity. I had almost forgotten about it but remembered in time to sit down and not get blinded away.
To call it a gala event understates the case. The poker bloggers were out in force, perhaps explaining why less than 1/3 of the field was gone after the first hour of play.
However, my favorite hand of the night was this little beauty, both because of what all it entailed, who was at the table and who it was against. Read on ...

That's right. On the button, I hoyed Dr. Pauly and another of the WWdN poker game crew with The Hammer. I made it into about the top 20% of the field, but no hand made me prouder than that one.
That hammer was so mighty that it was fit for use by John Henry.
